Common Questions
What is your typical lead time for custom tooling?
Lead times vary by complexity and volume. Standard custom tooling typically ranges from 5–15 business days. For AOG or urgent requirements, we offer priority scheduling — contact us directly to discuss your timeline.
Do you supply outside of Canada?
Yes. Since 2015 we have served clients across North America including the United States. We regularly supply Tier 1 and Tier 2 aerospace clients in the USA, Canada, and select international markets.
What certifications does Avitec hold?
Avitec Tools is ISO 9001 certified (since 2006), AS9100 accredited (since 2009), and Controlled Goods Program (CGP) compliant. We are recognized as both a Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier in the aerospace industry.
Can you work from my engineering drawings?
Absolutely. We accept customer-supplied drawings in most standard formats (PDF, DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES). Our engineering team reviews all drawings prior to quoting and will flag any DFM considerations.
Do you offer tool sharpening for tools not made by Avitec?
Yes. Our sharpening and refurbishment service is available for most standard and special-form cutting tools regardless of original manufacturer. Contact us with tool details for a sharpening quote.
