Founded in 1979 by André Barrette and Vicentino Di Sano, Avitec Tools grew from a small Montréal workshop into a trusted North American precision partner. Today, the Di Sano family’s second generation leads with a modern, innovative vision — preserving the founders’ legacy while driving the future.

1979

Founded by André Barrette and Vicentino Di Sano in a modest facility on 4th Avenue in Rivière-des-Prairies, Montréal.

1981

Relocated to St-Léonard; began establishing key relationships with major players in the Quebec aerospace industry.

1987

Construction of a 10,000 sq. ft. factory on Armand-Bombardier in Rivière-des-Prairies to support rapid growth.

1990–95

Acquisition of the first CNC equipment — a defining investment that modernized production and expanded precision capabilities.

2004

Celebrated the company's 25th anniversary — a milestone reflecting decades of trust and consistent quality.

2006

ISO 9001 certification achieved, formalizing Avitec's commitment to quality management systems.

2009
